Kitesurf, caves & Mayan ruins tour

• P/u from airport and transport to hotel.
• Kite lessons will be scheduled on day with appropriate wind conditions within travel dates. 
• Excursions will be organized for days with the least amount of wind or when guest prefer. 

Excursion 1: Kayak mangroves / bird watching / X-Cambo Mayan ruins

Pick up from hotel in an air conditioned van or bus at 9am and taken to the mangroves near Progreso. Guides will take you through the lagoons in your kayak while explaining the importance balance of the ecosystem for the birds there. Next head to the Mayan ruins of X-Cambo, in its day this archeological zone was of great importance as it was the main producer of salt. Once exploration of the site is done you will be escorted to lunch on the malecon of Progreso. After lunch enjoy a stroll along the beach or visit some of the many tourist shops. Guests will be returned to their hotels around 5pm. 

Excursion 2: Puuc route / Loltun caves

Pick up from hotel in air conditioned bus or van at 8:30am. A certified guide will take you through the archelogical sites of Sayil, Labna and Xlapack all of which were important Mayan centers. Enjoy a typical Mayan lunch at one of the small villages near the ruins. The highlight of the tour is the visit to the Loltun caves. Your certified guide will escort you into the cave where the El guerrero de Loltún (loltun warrior) is said to be emerging out of the ground. Within the cave system you will see many achient cave drawings done by people upto 7000 years ago. The guide will take you almost 60m deep into the cave to see the many archelogical artifacts that have been found show casing the develepment of Mayan culture. At the end of the day you will be returned to your hotel at 5:30pm 

Kite lessons: 2 hours of intermediate lessons are included. Intermediate lessons will be for anyone who can comfortably ride upwind already. Advanced lessons can be excanged for the intermediate lessons with an additional $20 per hour cost. Beginner lesson are 9 hours over 3 days and can be booked for an additional $350.
