Chokoloskee Tours

If you’re in the mood for exploring nature, a tour in Chokoloskee is a great place to start. The thinly inhabited island is smack-dab in the middle of Florida's greatest nature reserves: The 10.000 Islands National Park and the Florida Everglades National Park. Both parks are wonders of nature and home to many, many exotic species of fishes and birds. Tours from the island are available, as is a marina to moor the boat. Hunting for crabs is popular, as is taking day trips into the surrounding national parks to watch the wildlife.

The islanders themselves make certain of a cosy atmosphere, and welcome the visitors into their midst for the duration of their stay. The social centre on the island is the hub for all activities.
